Orphaned non-free image File:42ndtStPoster.gif

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:42ndtStPoster.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of MPB4

[edit]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on MPB4 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Cntras (talk) 04:55, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the cascade protection you put on this, as there's no need for it. (I'm guessing it was accidental? It was preventing some other non-protected templates from being edited.) Cheers, /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 02:13, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why's this still protected? No editing since January. JFHJr () 07:47, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Since the edit war has died down, despite the issues not being resolved on the talk page, I can unprotect. - AKeen (talk) 15:21, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mariage Frères

[edit]

Cher utilisateur,

en Janvier dernier, vous avez écrit :

"Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Mariage Frères. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. AKeen"

Help for a movie poster

[edit]

Grazie e scusa ancora :) --Witchblue (talk) 13:42, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nelson Angelo has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. MSU Interview

[edit]

Dear AKeen,

My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.

So a few things about the interviews:

  • Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
  • Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
  • All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
  • All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
  • The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.

Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.

If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.

Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 04:10, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Women (play), number of performances at Ethel Barrymore Theater

[edit]

This article states that the original play ran for 666 performances, and while that information may be correct, it doesn't seem to be supported by the source cited (a link leading to Turner Movie Classics, that doesn't mention the number of performances at the Ethel Barrymore Theater.)

I found one link that says "The title card of the film reads: The Women 'as presented for 666 performances in its Triumphant run at the Ethel Barrymore Theater, New York."

http://www.legendaryjoancrawford.com/thewomen.html

But another says "The original play opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in NYC on 12/26/36 and ran for 657 performances."

http://www.joancrawfordbest.com/filmswomen.htm

One of the external links listed in the article also gives the total number of performances as 657.

http://www.ibdb.com/production.php?id=9750

Why the discrepancy, and how many performances were there?
