Premieri liiga 2016-2017 hooaeg oli 25 hooaeg Premier Liiga ajaloos, alates selle loomisest 1992.aastal. Hooaeg algas 13. augustil 2016 ja lõppes 21. mail 2017. 2016-17 hooaja mängud avaldati 15. juunil 2016.

Chelsea tuli viiendat korda Premier Liiga meistriks ja kuuendat korda Inglismaa meistriks, kahe mängu ülejäägiga pärast 1-0 külastusmängu võitu West Bromwich Albioni üle 12. mail.

Mullune meister Leicester City lõpetas 12. kohal, seades uue rekordi kui halvima tiitlikaitsjana. Varem kuulus see rekord Chelseale, kes pärast 2014-15 hooaja võtmist lõpetas 10. kohal 2015-16 hooajal.

Kaubamärgi muutmine

9. veebruaril 2016 teatas Premier Liiga, et muudab kaubamärki alates 2016-17 hooajast. Liigat hakati kutsuma lihtsalt Premier Liiga (Premier League), ilma ühegi sponsori nimeta. Kaubamärgi muutmise osas tutvustati ka uus logo.

Piletihinnad

Alates 2016-17 hooajast oli külastava tiimi fännidele piletite hinna piiriks määratud 30 naela.

Hooaja kokkuvõte

Antonio Conte oli edukas, Chelsea uue peatreenerina, võites oma esimesel hooajal tiitli ja teenides klubi ajaloos rekord arv võite hooajal. Ainukeseks takistuseks oli halb algus hooajale, mis takistas neil püstitada uut punktide rekordit. Tottenham Hotspur sai oma pettumust valmistanud Champions Liiga teekonnast üle. Võideldes Chelseaga tiitli üle, kuid lõplikult ikkagi kaotajaks jäädes. Vaatamata sellele lõpetasid nad hooaja statistikaliselt parima kaitse ja ründega. Harry Kane tulles jälle Golden Boot´i võitjaks. Manchester City lõpetas üks koht kõrgemal kui eelmine aasta olles Pep Guardiola käe all esimest aastat. Kuigi nad lõpetasid hooaja karikata, vaatamata kolmandale parimale ründele ja Fa Cup´i semi-finaali jõudmisele. Liverpool jõudis Champions League´i üle kolme aasta olles Jürgen Kloppi juhtimisel esimesel aastal. Nad ei lõpetanud kõrgemal kui neljas koht Inglismaa liiga tabelis, kuna kaotasid oma 35 miljoni naela väärtuse mängija riigikoondisele Jaanuaris ja nad kaotasid ka mitmeid punkte liiga madalamatele tiimidele.

Vaatamata Arsenali viimasest kaheksast mängust seitsmele võidule, tulid nad viiendaks ja nad ebaõnnestusid kvalifitseeruda Champions Liigasse esmakordselt (viimane kord oli 1997.aastal).
