Melchior Ndadaye

Melchior Ndadaye (28 Maart 1953 – 21 Oktober 1993) was 'n Burundese bankier en politikus wat die eerste demokraties verkose en eerste Hutu-president van Burundi geword het nadat hy die 1993-verkiesing gewen het. Alhoewel hy probeer het om die land se bitter etniese kloof te oorkom, het sy hervormings soldate in die Tutsi-oorheersde weermag teëgestaan, en hy is vermoor te midde van 'n mislukte militêre staatsgreep in Oktober 1993, na slegs drie maande in die amp.
