Ordering review copies
We will be happy to provide you with an electronic or printed review copy for a review in relevant journals or media. If you need a reading copy at an early stage, we can usually send it to you as an advance PDF 3–4 weeks before the book is published. Please point this out to us in your enquiry.
Please send your request to our press department. In your message, please let us know the exact book title, if possible the ISBN, and in any case the medium in which the review will appear. Of course, you can also use our order form for reviews. We ask you to send us a copy of the review after publication, which can also be submitted by e-mail (as a link or PDF).
Reviews in our journals
Please send review offers and invitations directly to the editorial office or the editors of the respective journal.

Use of reviews
We, the publishers Brill Deutschland GmbH and Brill Österreich GmbH, undertake to comply with the standards of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association when using review excerpts for our own advertising. Of course, we also agree if you use reviews from our journals in compliance with these standards.

Press enquiries concerning Brill's corporate communication should not be directed to the press department but to our department for Corporate Communications.
Order Form for Review Copies
Review copies of Brill titles are supplied to publishers and/or journal review editors upon request. All requests are subject to publisher approval. After approval, a print copy or a digital reading copy (PDF) will be provided, depending on the request.
Brill requires a PDF of the published review upon publication, indicating journal title, volume, issue, and (month plus) year of publication. Please note: requests for review copies of books that are not yet available will be processed as soon as the book becomes available. As a result, it may take some time before you hear a response for such requests.
