English: In Roman religion Terminus was the god of boundaries and boundary markers, the protector of the limits both of private property and of the public territory of Rome. On the 23rd of February a festival was held called the Terminalia when the landowners garlanded their own side of a boundary stone and offerings of cakes, honey, wine, and sacrifices were made.
