Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by VikimanSE

The uploader was blocked without warning, and remains blocked despite my repeated objections, because Commons is not an amateur porn site. Yet 10 of their 12 uploads remain, because they were not nominated for deletion. This is a contradiction.

Three files are used on other projects: Male ass.jpg (ja:尻), Male Testicles.jpg (ru:Мужская репродуктивная система) and MalePerinium.jpg (en:Perineum). The last one, at least, looks legitimate (compare with the female image). Another two files look useful (though the only substantial difference is the way the background is redacted, and we probably only need one): Relaxed and tense scrotum.jpg and RelaxedAndTenseScrotum.jpg. If we keep those, we should also keep their source files: TenseScrotum.jpg and RelaxedScrotum.jpg. I am neutral on the remaining three files.

  I am no expert on this, but to me, the resolution and general quality of the files seem consistent with an amateur smartphone photo; the three files that are in use have EXIF data identifying the same phone model.   If the admins block a user without warning, then keep repeating their ‘amateur porn site’ line as if it is obvious and no one should be questioning it, then they are effectively saying that all of the user’s uploads should be deleted. So I nominated all of them for deletion.

Keep all.

1) I don't accept that User:VikimanSE contributions add up to the user using Wikipedia as an amateur porn site. There are plenty of users who have uploaded similar material over a much longer period of time who have not been banned or had their work deleted.

2) I think the interpretation of COM:UNBLOCK, which seems to be "Admit you're a naughty boy and you can stay, object and you're banned" is lousy.

3) The blocker's comment "I do not like to discuss sexual images." gives the game away as to motivation.

4) The images are in use on other projects as has been pointed out.

The quote I do not like to discuss sexual images. comes from Taivo, who didn’t actually block the uploader. They declined the uploader’s unblock request. This doesn’t change the point made by the anonymous user.

 Kept, but the IP said: "I think the user should be unbanned also". Vikiman cannot be unbanned, because he is not banned and has never been banned. He is indefinitely blocked and this is different. Taivo (talk) 10:22, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
