Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu approved one-year age limit relaxation for 1226 Constable recruitment. State Cabinet meeting chaired by Sukhu granted the relaxation.
Maharashtra police recruitment drive: More than 17.76 lakh applications received for 17,471 posts
The recruitment drive is for posts of constables, drivers, band men, SRPF personnel and jail staff, the official said. "For 9,595 constable posts, we have got 8,22,984 applications, while for 1,686 constable driver posts, we have received 1,98,300 applications. For 1800 prison constable posts, 3,72,354 applications have been received. We have received 101 applications for each post, while it is 206 per post in the prison department," he said.

Govt portal offered more jobs than applied for in FY24: 1.09 crore Vs 87.27 lakh
In the fiscal year 2023-24, the National Career Service (NCS) job portal displayed a notable trend in job vacancies surpassing the number of job seekers. According to NCS data, there were 87,27,900 registered job-seekers compared to 1,092,4161 job vacancies. Jobs listed on govt portal rise 3x to 10.9 mn in FY24
