    AAP leaders and workers staged a protest near the BJP's headquarters on DDU Marg demanding the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently in CBI custody related to the Delhi government's excise policy. Kejriwal had been earlier arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money-laundering case linked to the same policy, with bail granted by a trial court later stayed by the Delhi High Court.

    A Delhi court has sent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody for three days after he was arrested for his involvement in the Delhi excise policy case. The CBI sought five days of custodial interrogation to confront him with documents and evidence gathered by the agency. The court ruled that the arrest is not illegal, but the agency should not be overzealous.

    Arvind Kejriwal sent to 3-day CBI custody in Delhi excise policy case

    Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has sent AAP supremo and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to three-day Central Bureau of Investigation remand in connection with the Excise policy case. Kejriwal has been jailed since April for money laundering and is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate. The Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 was retracted in July 2022.
