    Excise Policy Case: Arvind Kejriwal moves Delhi HC challenging arrest by CBI

    Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday moved the Delhi High Court against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Excise Policy case. He challenged the trial court's order of June 26, which sent him to three-day CBI custody. The CBI had filed an application to place Kejriwal into judicial custody.

The CBI sought five days of custodial interrogation to confront him with documents and evidence gathered by the agency. The court ruled that the arrest is not illegal, but the agency should not be overzealous.
