    Russian armour-piercing tank rounds to be made in India, Rostec says

    Russia's Rostec corporation has organized the production of armour-piercing rounds for Russian-made battle tanks in India. The "Mango" projectiles are designed to be fired from the guns of T-72 and T-90 tanks used by India's land forces. Rostec plans to localize gunpowder production in India as part of the Indian government's push for more foreign goods.

    “In the aviation sector, our collaboration with Indian partners, particularly with HAL Corporation, has a rich experience. A prime example is the Su-30MKI military aircraft, for which the country has created production facilities and accumulated competences that could serve as a foundation for civilian production,” Chemezov said, adding, “Indeed, we're actively exploring the possibility of localizing and manufacturing the SSJ-100, considering the high potential of the Indian market, especially the demand for regional aircraft. Our SSJ-100 is well-positioned to fill this niche market.”
