A fashion week is a week-long fashion industry event where fashion designers, brands, or "houses" display their latest collections in runway fashion shows to buyers and the media which influences upcoming fashion trends for the current and approaching seasons.

The most prominent fashion weeks are held in the traditional fashion capitals of the world. The traditional four capitals, in chronological order, are New York City, London, Milan, and Paris. Recently, the growth of Tokyo Fashion Week has led to its inclusion in an expanded Big Five circuit of weeks where major designers choose to put on shows.
