It's Okay to Not Be Okay is an upcoming Philippine romantic comedy television series loosely based on the 2020 South Korean television drama series of the same name. It stars Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino. The series will release on Netflix in 2024.[1]

On December 13, 2023, the series was announced as one of the titles for ABS-CBN's programming line-up for 2024, with Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino being cast in the lead roles.[3][4][5] A media conference to officially announce the project and introduce the main cast of the show was held on May 17, 2024 at the Dolphy Theatre. It was graced by the three lead actors, Anne, Joshua and Carlo, as well as creative producer Henry King Quitain and the director, which was revealed to be the box office director, Mae Cruz-Alviar. According to Mr. Quitain, the series will be shown in Netflix, and they are considering Negros and Iloilo area as a possible shooting locations.[6][7][8]

Casting

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were initially reported to cast in the lead roles, but both declined the offer.[9][10][11]

Filming

Principal photography started on July 2024 in the province of Iloilo. On July 30, 2024 Star Creatives, through it social media platforms released some behind-the-scenes photos from the set revealing some of its cast members.[12]
