Orphaned references in Alesso

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Alesso's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bpi":

  • From Tove Lo discography: "Certified Awards Search: Tove Lo" (To access, enter the search parameter "Tove Lo" and select "Search by: Keyword", with the other two set to "All"). British Phonographic Industry. Retrieved September 12, 2014.
  • From Hurts discography: "Certified Awards". British Phonographic Industry. Retrieved 29 September 2011.
  • From Sam Watters: http://www.bpi.co.uk/certifiedawards/search.aspx

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:58, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Alesso discography into Alesso

[edit]

With only one album, a couple mixtapes, and some singles released so far, it feels too soon for a separate discography page. I think we can reasonably fit its content into the main bio for now. No prejudice against restoring the subpage after he releases another album and/or mixtape. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 18:00, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. @SNUGGUMS: The discography page has been a separate page since 2017. I know you're saying it's "too soon" soon in terms of Alesso's output, but saying "too soon" for a split when it's been a separate page for years sounds a bit silly. The discography page is also 30 KB in size while Alesso's main article is 27 KB. You're proposing putting the discography page mostly intact back onto his main article—that would be way too much emphasis on a list of his works than his BLP. It's also justified per WP:SPLIT, if we interpret it as total size of an article and not just applying to "readable prose". I oppose this entirely. Ss112 03:19, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I admittedly didn't know how long ago the discography had been split off. The fact that it has a larger sheer size than this bio surprises me. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 03:31, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
