Requested move

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved. However I wonder if Cogges Manor would have been the more correct move. If consensus is for that, drop me a note on my talk page. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:01, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cogges Manor Farm MuseumCogges Manor Farm – Cogges Manor Farm is no longer a museum in the conventional sense. Though the building and its curtilage are historically important [see the references on the current page] it no longer contains artefacts or other exhibits that are catalogued and displayed as they would be in a 'curated' museum. Therefore to retain the term Museum is misleading and raises inappropriate expectations. Corroboration may be found on the Farm's web pages at http://www.cogges.org.uk/ It may be pertinent to clarify my connection [COI?] with the Charitable Trust who now operate the Farm. I am a volunteer with no vested interest in it other than a belief that it is an invaluable asset to the local community. My sole reason for [spontaneously] editing the page was my discovery that well-intentioned editing had been reverted, thus retaining outdated and misleading information on the page. To be honest you could probably have just moved it! It's not a very controversial change and as long as you retain a section on the farm's period as a museum I can't imagine anyone having too much of an issue with the change. For the record I support the move (and have considered doing it myself recently). danno 20:14, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
