Redirect

[edit]

@Zolgensma:, since you said not to message you I will not discuss on your talk page, I am pinging you here instead. Although it is a shame as it seems you do not wish to work in a collaborative environment. However, I will start the discussion here since consensus is a requirement in Wikipedia. This page was already part of a deletion discussion which was closed with a consensus to redirect the page (I have again done so). The redirect has been restored several times now so there is still a consensus in that regards. There is also Draft:Family Star which is being developed which you are free to work on but do NOT recreate the page without consensus. --CNMall41 (talk) 22:06, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely I support your point @CNMall41 Rasel ‍Hasan Talk 03:21, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Without knowing the point what are you supporting? User talk:Mr. Rasel Hasan ? There is no need for 3-4 draft articles, there is no issue with this article Family Star, he is unnecessarily creating confusion. Zolgensma (talk) 14:41, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are deliberately moving this film article again and again to draft space repeatedly to create confusion among reviewers. Please stop this non sense. Page recreation is essential to protect from your vandalism. Since your agenda is to make these drafts get declined repeatedly so that article is not created.Zolgensma (talk) 07:47, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CNMall41 Hey CNMall41, the film's official title was registered as The Family Star and not Family Star as per the censor certificate given by the Central Board of Film Certification in India. Here is the link to their website of the film's title officially being registered as The Family Star. [1] SP013 (talk) 05:56, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I am not sure it matters until the ANI and SPI case are closed. I don't see anything happening with the drafts in the meantime. --CNMall41 (talk) 06:10, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CNMall41: @Mr. Rasel Hasan: The draft article Draft:Family_Star#Critical_reception as it stands has a Critical reception section with 5 reliable reviews since the film already released. If anything, you guys can open a second AfD if you still feel the article is worth deleting. DareshMohan (talk) 19:38, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello all, I absolutely concur with DareshMohan. The subject meets the requirements for notability of films and there should not be any debate about wether experienced good faith users can move the dratt to main. The outcome of the Afd was redirect. That was October 23. Improvements to the page were massive. There is no more reason to keep it a draft nor a redirect. At all. Redirecting the page when a standalone article is warranted seems very unnecessary. Hope you agree. Thank you very much. Can we move it to the Main now, thank you? -My, oh my! Again, the issue is not about notability. As you mentioned "experience user" and discussion, that is exactly how the process should have worked and there would have been no issues. It is the bludgeoning of a user attempting to create this under multiple name variations to avoid the previous consensus. I would recommend changing this redirect to The Family Star since that is the main topic at this point. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:32, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update I have accepted the draft Family Star as The Family Star and made a edit request to change redirect target to the article. Have declined draft The Family Star. Hope that fixes it. A note for Zolgensma: please have a look at the entire draftspace to see if there's already a duplicate submission next time to avoid this clustermess. Thanks and happy editing all.
