Is Slovenia a member?

[edit]

When in 2006 did Slovenia enter FIB? Can anyone help me to get a reference? They are not lested on the home page of FIB (But that may not be to much of a deal, since FIBs home page is not very good).—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Linkan (talkcontribs) 15:55, 12 January 2007.

Yeah, it's a shitty page. But nonetheless it's a little weird they're not listed. It seems an anonymous user added Slovenia in November with a bunch of other countries. No hope in finding the person behind that IP-address, I guess.... I'd be tempted to remove Slovenia altogether, but might try a little bit more research. Suede 20:14, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have sent a mail to Rolf Käck, and hope to get a clearification soon. Linkan 01:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I got response from Mr Käck, and Slovenia is not a member of FIB Linkan 19:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great! I've updated the map of the member countries. Suede 21:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

German as former member?

[edit]

I would like to hear where someone has found information about Germany as former member of FIB. There have been discussions with Germany, but never a membership as far as I know.

Chronological order

[edit]

The countries should really be put in chronological order.

I made the table sortable instead, I hope that satisfies you. Linkan 09:21, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That works, I suppose. By the way, I used IP 71.64.201.157 at the time.--189.121.183.72 (talk) 04:43, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is Bandy?

[edit]

Nowhere on the page is Bandy defined. I don't have a clue what it is. You wouldn't do a page about baseball or basketball with some description of what happens on the field or court. Is it played with balls, cards, clubs, rackets, or what? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tldoran (talkcontribs) 22:56, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The word 'bandy' is linked in the very first sentence on the page. Click that link and you'll hopefully get a clue. Bandy is like icehockey but with a larger field and a ball instead of a puck, also the rules are more like the rules for soccer. John Anderson (talk) 15:27, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Italy rejoins in 2024

[edit]

Italy has become a full member of the Federation of International Bandy, elected as such at the FIB Congress in June this year. [1] Green leaves okay (talk) 11:55, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The new Italian member organisation is called Federazione Italiana Sport per Tutti, abbreviated FISPT.[2] What would that be in English? 'Italian Federation of All Sports' or something? Green leaves okay (talk) 15:20, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
