Polish support for the Italian cause?

[edit]

Second sentence in 1863 section makes little sense. Polish Legions in Italy during the Napoleonic wars were part of the French army, and France was at war with Italian states. --DonaldDuck (talk) 16:28, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Polish Legions in Italy fought on both sides. France also fought against Austria, another power at war with the Italian states. From that article: "Dąbrowski's Legions were first used against Austrians in Italy, where Poles who had a natural sympathy for people fighting for their own independence saw the Italian cause for independence as similar to that of their own.". But you are right, we should probably stress Mickiewicz's Legion instead. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:43, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I placed a {{citation required}} tag. (And what is a medium school anyway?) Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:15, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
