I provided several second-hand sources, as requested. Why then delete it again? Mackan 12:51, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The sources need to be properly formatted, and the claims in the article really ought to be attributed to who said them in which source. If this had been done before the AfD closed, I wouldn't have deleted it - assuming the sources really back up what is said. Like I said in closing it, WP:V is not negotiable.--Cúchullain t/c 14:06, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot to say you really shouldn't have recreated it like this in the mainspace. You should have done it in your user space at a subpage like User:Mackan/Friends (group) or something, then we could decide if it should be recreated or not. Right now it will probably be speedy deleted as a recreation of deleted material.--Cúchullain t/c 14:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have no interest in maintaining this page, and I have no interest in writing more detailed about the group "Friends" (I don't like their music, I've never had any interest in them whatsoever - but I know of them). I didn't bother searching for sources at first because I didn't really care that much, and I didn't think it would end up being deleted. When you deleted it I decided to put some sources in, and that's all the vfd nominator ever demanded. Why do you then suggest that this will be speedily deleted? That doesn't make any sense. Also, creating this article in my namespace would not make any sense either. Of course, WP:V isn't negotiable, but instead of deleting it, how about putting a bunch of "references"-tags or something on it instead? I mean, for one thing, there are articles on three other Wiki's about this group, shouldn't that have been some kind of indication of notability??
The sources I've provided are probably not enough to cover every single statement in the article, but they do establish that the band is notable enough. Sure, they ought to be formatted properly, but this is in my opinion more than enough to not delete the article again. Also, could you please just restore the page as it were and put the sources at the bottom? Mackan 15:03, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I said it might be deleted as a recreation of deleted material, which it is. If you wanted it undeleted you should have gone to WP:DRV or asked me or another admin to undelete it. As to why I deleted it, no one had provided references by the time the AfD closed (and it closed several days late) so it looked to me that there weren't going to be any sources to prove WP:V, let alone notability (and the articles in other languages could have been just as poor as ours). I'll restore the page, but this is already far more time than I wish anyone had ever spent on this group.--Cúchullain t/c 15:56, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
