Formatting

I've done a "rough and ready" formatting for ease of editing and to comply with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. There's considerable scope for improvement, but that shouldn't prevent the article being moved into main space.

Sources and referencing

I've added links to several of the sources and I've added one more (a revirew of their book 20,000 Miles South). In my view, there are probably enough to establish notability. (However, see below.) It would also help if you can add hyperlinks for any of the other references which are available online.

Style and content

This is still problematic. It's written like a personal essay/reflection in many places, with too much intricate detail and the content sourced solely to their own writings. Note also, evaluative adjectives must be avoided, e.g. "beloved", "iconic", etc. There are probably more like this. Much of this can be remedied by a good copy editor once it's in article space, but I strongly suggest improving on this aspect before submitting it again.

I hope that helps. Voceditenore (talk) 17:54, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Voceditenore, thank you ever so much for these most helpful suggestions and your editing. I will now try to make improvements in the manner in which you suggested. Also, at this stage, I would like to add some photos: a photo of Helen and one of Frank for the bio boxes, and a photo of La Tortuga "sailing" on a lake in Chile with a mountain in the background. But first I'll have to read the instructions on how to do this. I hope I won't have to crop and reduce the photos of Helen and Frank...I don't know how to do this.

Thank you again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adarrah (talkcontribs) 22:08, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
