Is this Iddo the same as the grandfather of Zechariah? I don't think so as the latter returned to Jerusalem when Cyrus released the Jews. Yes? If so, it should be mentioned here that there were two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thmazing (talkcontribs) 18:58, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Encyclopaedia Biblica, those are two different Iddo's so because this article is about Iddo the prophet, Zechariah's grandpop doesn't need addressed, unless someone finds a reliable source that says they're the same character.Alephb (talk) 00:51, 22 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t believe it can be. Iddo the Prophet lived during the reign of King Solomon, who lived in the 900s BC, and Zechariah lived during the 500s BC. I don’t see how his grandad could’ve lived 400 years before he did. Wiljur (talk) 06:38, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
