Revision

[edit]

Hello all!

I only begun a general revision of the article. The first two questions that come up to my mind are:

  • does it make sense the concept of Italian Popular Music and, if it does, which artist should be regarded as italian?
  • does it deserves a different wikipedia article or could it not be included in some other article?

The way I reorganized the material of the article reflect these two questions. I hope that the answer to the second question may be that yes, indeed a specific article about the evolution of the different musical traditions into the modern italian Musica Leggera and other forms is a unique feature of our beautiful country musical inheritance which greatly differs from the musical development of most other countries and deserves a discussion on its own.

I'd love contributions and suggestions from any other music expert or enthusiast. (Also, my inglish isn't that good after all and if someone could spell and grammar check the article that'd be great!)

This article is extremely superficial in its contents and it should be either appropriately expanded or removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.67.49.245 (talk) 16:20, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
