Re-writing of entire page

[edit]

I've spent the last few days re-writing Joanna Gosling's entire page... After leaving the BBC and starting at Classic FM, it felt like the right time. The page previously contained far too much trivia around 2010, but lacked significant events covered towards the end of her BBC career. I believe this balance has now been addressed.

With the exception of a picture (can anybody help?), I think the page is now complete... Although, any further help/input would be appreciated! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.77.224.149 (talk) 19:08, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Just spent the last hour or so referencing as much information as I can, but I'll leave the template in place because there's still some stuff that could do with sources. For example, her education. Cheers TheRetroGuy (talk) 20:09, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I don't recall seeing her in Supervolcano, though it's possible she could have been in it. Kirsty Wark was in an episode of Spooks the other night, and various other BBC newsreaders appear in things like Doctor Who from time to time. If she did appear in the film a reference for this would be nice. TheRetroGuy (talk) 20:18, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently she did according to this along with Anna Jones and Gwennan Edwards. TheRetroGuy (talk) 20:25, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another Joanna Gosling

[edit]

Interestingly there is apparently also an author named Joanna Gosling (see here) who co-wrote books related to IT back in the 1980s with titles such as Master Pagemaker, Master Ventura and Mastering Wordprocessing. Not sure how notable she is, but it could be worth a look if someone wants to do that. TheRetroGuy (talk) 22:55, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
