Storyboarder/writer listings

[edit]

@Luigi1090: Last WPTV consensus was against including storyboard artists in lists of episodes. The template is formatted by and large for live-action shows, which typically have one director and up to three writers per episode. Listing four writers and seven artists in the same row looks quite cluttered on the average monitor. If storyboarder artists are truly as inseparable from the episode as writers are, then stacking seems to be the only way we can present both crew members in a neat manner. Otherwise we should stick with one or the other. 23W 03:10, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @23W: Your stacking version is not suitable in the table, be cause the actual version is taken from the TV presentation of every episode. And finally, for me four writers and seven artists in the same row is not cluttered because I use a personal method: insert the "<(br />" system. Luigi1090 11:2, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
    • @Luigi1090: The line breaks look awkward on certain resolutions of small screens (note the gaps on the second and third lines between the names) and large screens (both lines are artificially narrow). This is because these breaks are placed according to what looks proper on your own monitor. Judging from its doc {{episode list}} was designed to present only a couple of names at most per cell. For animated series which employ numerous writers and artists on one episode, listing every single one looks disorganized.
Now, I agree that storyboard artists have perhaps the most creative control over an episode (on top of being the recipients of awards for individual episodes). Against WPTV's consensus (ping EvergreenFir) I think we should keep their column and remove the lists of story writers. 23W 01:54, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Ralph" is Season 2

[edit]

"Ralph" is listed as a Season 2 episode here:

http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/we-bare-bears-ralph/EP022222100599?aid=zap2it

Until a better source showing otherwise is produced, it should remain there

Rubyaxles (talk) 00:16, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's season 3 because the season splitting thing affected the seasons 52 eps each season, if split 26, not 27 stop listening to zap2it and others plus even Daniel Chong (THE CREATOR) said "Ralph would be introduced in Season 3" http://wedrawbears.tumblr.com/post/159122830160/will-there-be-any-new-characters-introduced-in-the Icebear244

You're right, I'm so sorry, but in my book Neighbors will always be the Season finale. (That doesn't mean I don't agree with you though) I just wish CN wouldn't screw up seasons like this.. Icebear244 —Preceding undated comment added 07:12, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are just too many conflicting sources for this. I just picked this one because it causes the least amount of disruption and makes the most sense. But there are other sources:

    A. CartoonNetwork has what is personally my favorite configuration.
This makes the most sense, with each season's shorts being counted as an episode for a total of 26 episodes per season.
It also makes "Panda's Friend" the only episode to be aired out of order.

    Season 1 (25 episodes):
    1. Our Stuff
    ...
    25. Hibernation

    Season 2 (24 episodes*):
    1. Charlie Ball
    2. Yard Sale
    ...
    22. Grizz Helps
    23. Christmas Parties
    24. Panda's Friend
*Captain Craboo listed as a single episode, so it's really 25 episodes

    Season 3:
    1. Grizzly the Movie
    2. Subway
    3. Anger Management
    4. $100
    5. Neighbors
    6. Professor Lampwick
    7. Ralph
    8. Planet Bears
    9. Coffee Cave
    10. Charlie's Big Foot
    11. The Demon
    12. Panda's Art
    13. Poppy Rangers
    14. Lucy's Brother

    B. TVGuide just made Season 2 end with Christmas Parties, and Season 3 are all the 2017 episodes in order:

    Season 2:
    ...
    21. Grizz Helps
    22. Christmas Parties

    Season 3:
    1. Grizzly the Movie
    2. Subway
    3. Anger Management
    4. Panda's Friend
    5. $100
    6. Neighbors
    7. Professor Lampwick
    8. Ralph
    9. Planet Bears
    10. Coffee Cave
    11. Charlie's Big Foot
    12. The Demon
    13. Panda's Art
    14. Poppy Rangers
    15. Lucy's Brother

    C. VOD Services (iTunes, Google, Amazon):

They all have Grizzly the Movie and Subway as the last Season 2 episodes, and then Season 3 starts with Anger Management / Panda's Friend, with the episodes in order. I'm not a huge fan of this one:

    Season 2:
    1. Yard Sale / Slumber Party
    ...
    12. Griz Helps / Christmas Parties
    13. Grizzly the Movie / Subway

    Season 3:
    1. Anger Management / Panda's Friend
    2. $100 / Neighbors
    3. Professor Lampwick / Ralph
    4. Planet Bears / Coffee Cave
    5. Charlie's Big Foot / The Demon
    6. Panda's Art / Poppy Rangers

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the last one either, they make it look like segments. Icebear244 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.114.80 (talk) 18:15, 26 April 2017 (UTC) I sure do like CN's way of listing the episodes (shorts counting as eps DOES make sense) Icebear244 (talk) 00:15, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Icebear244[reply]

Are you allowed to use that configuration on here, because I think we should use it. Icebear244 (talk) 00:15, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Icebear244[reply]

I don't know; there is no rhyme or reason to what's being put here. Rubyaxles (talk) 03:55, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Season four started with Bears II Men

[edit]

According to Cartoon Network's own video section season four has begun.[1] As such I'll be editing the page to account for this. -Grand Commander13 (talk) 20:06, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do we actually listen to how CN lists it?Icebear244 (talk) 05:39, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not to mention the fact we ignored Clarence when it had its fourth season on CN’s Video section. Icebear244Icebear244 (talk) 12:42, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to say the same kind of thing, except it was that Crowbar Jones: Origins is actually the first episode of season 4. (In addition to the Cartoon Network site saying so, Netflix has season 3 and it goes from "Subway" to "Best Bears.") If I remember correctly, the Adventure Time episode list was corrected after it was made clear that Cartoon Network considered the season breaks to be different from what they were originally considered to be, so the same should probably be done here, too.
