Stage names vs. real names

[edit]

Despite hidden editorial asides telling me not to, I have gone ahead and moved a couple of entries on this list (Machine Gun Kelly and Kid Cudi) to their respective stage names rather than real names. These people are primarily known by their stage names; those are the titles of their wiki articles, and it's how people will look for them. The existence of these editorial asides tells me that other people have put these stage names on the list in the past, and it will probably continue to happen in the future. If the stage names are good enough to title their wiki articles, if wikipedia has decided "that's what we call this guy," I see no reason why we should use their comparatively little-known real names on this list. If someone feels super strongly about it, feel free to change them back, but this problem is just going to keep cropping up, and I think it's pointless to insist on using a name people generally don't know, simply because it's the given, "real" name.
