"Fan Bias" section - too POV?

[edit]

The feelings mentioned in the "Fan Bias" section are far from universal. Many people also feel the exact opposite. Should this be cleaned up or scrapped altogether? --Spring Rubber 06:45, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Metallica

[edit]

why did you not mention that NBC used the hit song "Fuel" by Metallica that was used from the 2001 to 2003 NASCAR season. i know that this was also used on TNT during those three race seasons too. -- boutitbenza_69_9 21:11, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

American Flag used in telecast

[edit]

in late 2001, after the 9-11-01 terrorist attacks against this country, NBC and TNT's NASCAR coverage (which had a special logo just for NASCAR where the NBC or TNT logo was behind a checkred flag) relaced the checkred flag with the USA flag to celebrate that the USA was united (at the time everything was patriotic because of 9-11) at that time. they dropped it after the last race of 2001. -- boutitbenza_69_9 21:18, 28 April 2007 (UTC) I remember that no flag of any sort (American of checkered) ever was behind the TNT logo, at least on the live broadcasts. An American flag WAS there, and the TNT logo was put on the corner, when TNT re-aired NBC races that year. Pja1981 (talk) 17:53, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Nascar nbc.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nascar nbc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Should it be put in one of the sections telling about the old NASCAR on NBC? XRGExChaos (talk) 13:59, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

USA Network?

[edit]

I have not seen any information about USA Network, as a overflow channel for NASCAR on NBC, could someone add a reference. SturrockNY21 (talk) 02:48, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

USA Network was used for a few NASCAR races in 2016 due to NBCUniversal having the olympics rights and it conflicting with NASCAR on NBC and NBCSN and CNBC. --Boutitbenza 69 9 (talk) 20:20, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcast booth?

[edit]

Is there really a need to list Ken Squier and Ned Jarrett with all other commentators when they call a few laps of one race per year? At least the NASCAR on FOX article highlights that the driver commentators are not regular. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.23.53.212 (talk) 20:54, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Theme Music 2015-2017 should be 2015-Present

[edit]

The NASCAR on NBC Theme from 2015 is still used as the theme. Such as Xfinity Series sponsor segment, advertising NASCAR on NBC on other NBC Sports programming, and advertising NASCAR America. Can I Log In (talk) 04:58, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Starting on time

[edit]

Every year it it the same. I I think it's hilarious that you think you have a starting theme song when no one gets to hear it. NBC never starts the race on time we don't hear the national anthem we don't see the starting lineup you didn't pre-interviews. Box is better Fox is better at every thing. NASCAR please stop putting your races on anything to do with NBC it sucks every time. Misty1681 (talk) 23:14, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
