The article does not represent a worldwide view

[edit]

Although it is American in origin and the name National Edge Day implies that it's a nationally (and only nationally) observed holiday, Edge Day has grown bigger than that (just like National Novel Writing Month has participants from all over the world). This article makes it look like the holiday, with one single exception (Ghent, Belgium 2007), is solely observed in Massachusetts and this is not the case. For example an Edge Day celebration is taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden this coming October 17, for the second or third year in a row, and I'm sure this is the case in many other cities all over the world. Whether the bands playing at these shows are notable enough for Wikipedia or not (which isn't the case in Gothenburg) I believe that the sum of all these minor observances of Edge Day is notable and proves that it's relevant also outside of the borders of Massachusetts. I wish that the article could somehow reflect this. I'll try to dig up references myself, but would be happy if someone could help me out. -- × Flare × {Talk) 15:25, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
