Update needed

[edit]

The Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies seems to have been incorporated into the university and stopped being a recognised independent centre in 2018–2019. Does anyone have any more details or better references, I would have thought that the change would have been publicised?

According to the 2018–2019 OCHJS accounts "The Centre provides funds for teaching for most of the Hebrew and Jewish Studies courses taught at the university and funds, houses and administers the Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies of the University of Oxford, to which the academic activities of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies were formally transferred on 1 September 2018". Judith Olszowy-Schlanger became president of the centre on the same date, 1 September 2018. OCHJS left the list of RICs in 2019, see Wayback Machine snapshot 23 December 2019.
