Oxide

[edit]

OK, the obvious question: Why is one of the Pang brothers named after 'a chemical compound that contains at least one oxygen atom'? 71.139.160.140 (talk) 06:32, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He chose it as a nickname so it would stick in people's minds ( movies.radiofree.com/interviews/themesse_oxide_pang.shtml);
also worked as a lab assistant (asianwiki.com/Oxide_Pang_Chun), I guess making the oddly nerdy choice not unreasonable. JohndanR (talk) 05:15, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
So their real names are Pang Phat and Pang Chun? Makes sense, lots of Chinese people pick an English name to use when interacting with English speakers, or cinema-goers. I suppose his mum still calls him "Chun". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.121.3 (talk) 23:20, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
