Italic text"...During these visits he discussed the feasibility of attempting to re-breed the Quagga with Dr. Theodor Haltenorth,..." This needs to be re-worded. The way it's written now sounds painful for Dr. Haltenorth.

Plesiomorphic vs. autapomorphic

[edit]

What is the reference for the claim in the text that a reduced striping in the Quagga is a plesiomorphy? Considering that plain zebras are deeply nested within the zebra group, this is very unparsimonious. If there is no reference for that, I will possibly change that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DFoidl (talkcontribs) 19:25, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No argument here, find a source to verify your changes so the issue is settled for as long as anything is settled on wiki. Montanabw(talk) 17:12, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was merely asking for a reference for what is written in the text. I now discovered there is an external link to an essay, I'll read that as soon as possible. -- DFoidl (talk) 20:47, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'm no expert, glad you found something. Montanabw(talk) 21:09, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
