Descent?

[edit]

The article puts her in the categories of "Dutch people of Indonesian descent", "Dutch people of Surinamese descent", and "Javanese people". Quite a variety. Can we have some sources for those categories? 68.200.97.152 (talk) 07:53, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well the Dutch wiki entry version says her father is ethnic Javanese from Surinam, and that the mother is Dutch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.49.54.46 (talk) 19:43, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree: this needs a reliable source. – Editør (talk) 20:43, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation?

[edit]

Should indicate the pronunciation. AnonMoos (talk) 14:52, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the pronunciation of her first name. – Editør (talk) 20:44, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! There is currently a dispute at Simone Manuel regarding the statement that Manuel is the first black woman to win a swimming gold in an individual event and whether or not Kromowidjojo's racial background renders this statement incorrect for Manuel. Other editors are invited to join the discussion at Talk:Simone Manuel#Simone Manuel, the first black woman to win a gold medal? ~Cheers, TenTonParasol 22:45, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
