Spotty Article

[edit]

This article is very spotty with lots of one sentence paragraphs. It needs alot of work. Weatherman90 04:47, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stories

[edit]

Snead was also well-known as a great golf hustler, reportedly shooting 76 with a putter on a bet. Just wondering if anyone knows of any documentation of stories like this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.227.243.16 (talk) 16:08, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How many wins?

[edit]

I was just watching ESPN and they say Snead has 81 PGA wins. This article says 82. Who is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Animatus (talkcontribs) 16:31, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peanuts

[edit]

Sam Snead was referred to in a couple Peanuts strips in the 1960s. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.37.236.168 (talk) 23:58, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Top Tens

[edit]

I've noticed this on many of the pages for golfers who played in the days the PGA Championship was still a match play event: why are finishes in the Round of 16 shaded in yellow and counted as a top-10? Does the PGA Tour count them as such? Otherwise, these top-10 totals appear to be inflated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.223.163.178 (talk) 23:15, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Simple, a round of 16 loss is a tied for 9th finish. Tewapack (talk) 01:36, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
