Article re-written as stub due to entire article (which appeared to be distincly "pro-Oasis") being unsourced since mid-2006 despite a number of assertive and hard-hitting claims. Any changes should be discussed here and alterations introduced by consensus, along with citations.

But in the long run Oasis won the war, with the legendary LP (What's the Story) Morning Glory?

Among reviewers and critics, the joke is that the answer to "Blur or Oasis?" is "Pulp" 216.165.8.40 (talk) 21:02, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"War"? What war was this. The Battle of Britpop was exclusively related to the singles battle, nothing to do with albums.

Will whoever keeps turning this article into a stub cut it out?!! It does not provide nearly enough information anymore, and all you've gotten for your trouble is a "please improve by expanding" box!! HFGR (talk) 19:54, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, that's right. It certainly has little information on it, but at least it's factual, unlike the mountain of unreferenced, subjective, opinionated garbage that was here before. Hopefully we will one day have a sizeable article with a wealth of relevant citations, not dominated by fans of one particular band. Hooliganos (talk) 14:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited, subjective claims starting to creep in again - the entire reason the article was reduced to a stub. Hooliganos (talk) 14:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LMFAO

[edit]

Is this article some sort of joke? This "rivalry" was a media invention, and is hardly notable at all.

And LOL at the use of the "Military Conflict' infobox for this article. This should be deleted, or seriously re-written. Frvernchanezzz (talk) 08:58, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
