Deer Cliff vs. Deercliff.

[edit]

I'd like to note that Deer Cliff isn't the actual name of the cliffs or anything. Clearly, this name was taken from the road beginning in Avon formally named 'Deercliff'. That name (Deercliff) was the name given to the farm which existed at the intersection of Deercliff Road and Route 44. Richard Ely owned this farm, and pond- about 200 acres at one time. This is where the names 'Ely Pond' and 'Ely Road' originate. JPP355 (talk) 15:16, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
