Wael or Waels

[edit]

Are you sure Waelsingas are sons of Wael, not Waels? According to Beowulf, Sigemund is one of Waelsingas (Wælsinges gewin), and he is a descendant of Waels (Wælses eafera). I thought the gen. case of "Waels" was "Waelses" and the gen. case of "Wael" was "Waeles". Where can I find citation of the name "Wael"? Or Wael is a commonly know name at that place? --60.44.91.38 (talk) 11:44, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
