Kubera King of the Yakshas?

[edit]

Is this a mistake? According to Mahabharata 5.16.33 f. Kubera became the king of the Rakshasas (!) after Indra had defeated Vrtra.--91.17.196.91 (talk) 19:00, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like someone changed this to "the Gandharvas". If that's the case, why should Kubera have his own sub section on the Yakshas article? There is already a Kubera article. Are the Gandharvas, or whichever beings Kubera is king of have enough parallels with the Yakshas to be mentioned, and if so shouldn't this subsection be named for them instead of Kubera.

I'm a curious novice without much of a frame of reference, but the Kubera sub section felt like a confusing non sequitur. Mr.Edross (talk) 18:28, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
