Nkem E. Osuigwe PhD CLN

I am an African Librarian working to promote the place of libraries in developing Africa. Libraries bridge the gap between the have and have-nots in the society as they provide equitable access to information resources to every member of their user communities that are essential for inculcation of literacy, opportunities for a better life and lifelong learning among other benefits. Building the capacity of African librarians and situating their libraries to offer relevant services that answer directly to the development challenges of their user communities is my passion.

Work Experience

I served as the Director, Anambra State Library Board (2009 - 2015), Director, Nigerian Book Foundation (2016 -2018) and I am currently the Director, Human Capacity Development and Training, AfLIA (African Library and Information Associations and Institutions)
