Saurav Dhakal
Saurav Dhakal, born in 1980 is a Nepali journalist and a British Council Climate Change Fellow 2011-12.
He graduated with a Bachelors degree in journalism from Sherpherd College in Kathmandu before earning his Master's Degree in Mass Communication at the Tribhuvan university, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Dhakal spent more than three months traversing Nepal's harsh mountainous regions, taking stock of the life of vulnerable people and assessing the impacts of climate change. Along with Apa Sherpa, the 21st-time Everest summitter, he completed a grueling 1,555 kilometers trek which took him to some of the highest Himalayan passes and acquainted him with diverse cultures, lifestyles and people.
Career
Since 2004, he has worked as a reporter at Nepal's most popular TV channel Kantipur Television as a reporter. He has also produced short films on changing livelihoods that he shot during the trek. He hasn't left his mission of storytelling of people particularly in Nepal's northern territories. He has continued his work through Story Cycle.
Personal life
Dhakal is married to Deepika Gyawali and they have a six-month old son. Both live with his parents in Kathmandu.

He spent more than three months traversing Nepal's harsh Himalayan regions, taking stock of the life of vulnerable people and assessing the impacts of climate change.
