Sharon Xiaolei Huang (simplified Chinese: 黄晓蕾) is a Chinese-born American computer scientist, data scientist, and director of the Machine Intelligence and Image Informatics ( $MI^{3}$ ) laboratory at the Pennsylvania State University-University Park. ^[1]^[2]^[3]Her research focuses on biomedical image informatics, computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. She is also broadly interested in artificial intelligence for medicine, data science for healthcare, biomedical informatics, computer graphics, visualization, and human-computer interaction.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, and her MS and Ph.D. in computer science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She is a member of the ACM, IEEE, and the MICCAI society.
