Gain and loss

[edit]

There is no need to add "gain" and "loss" to infoboxes. The data is based on an estimate, and readers can figure out if there is a gain or loss by looking at the numbers. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:41, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Updating source citations

[edit]

While I appreciate you updating the population estimates in the articles, you should also update the citations for those estimates. In the case of the estimates from the Census Bureau, that is as simple as changing "2022" to "2023" in the name of the web page since the url hasn't changed, but the page it leads to has, and changing the access-date to the date you looked at the web page. While in this case the cited source remains valid, updating the details in the citation helps with maintenance, and avoids the false impression that you have changed content without providing an updated source.
