RR 2001

[edit]

Sorry about that. I have to use the Wii Browser to edit until I get my computer fixed, and the only I could revert the vandalism on that page was to revert to the last good one, which meant your edit was accidentally reverted too. TJ Spyke 08:00, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

It's odd that only 411mania says that. I will try and find other sources as well. TJ Spyke 20:16, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Andresg770, just add them to the list, put the performance venue/date and a link to the MTV page as a reference. - Kio 02:51, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MTV International Viewers Choice

[edit]

Hello. Do you know if there is information in the net where I can find info for the winners and nominees for International Viewers Choice Award in Australia? I noticed some years (like 1996, 2000, 2003) have missing information for the Australian awards. Glad if you can help. Thanks for your contributions to the MTV Awards. RaNdOm26 16:57, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WrestleMania X8

[edit]

I will give you a chance to explain before reverting. The link you gave in the edit summary only talks about WrestleMania 23, not WrestleMania X8. TJ Spyke 23:26, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MTV International Viewers Choice (Part 2)

[edit]

Regarding the nominees to the Viewer's Choice award in Brazil, despite MTV USA website listing only six videos, there were indeed 20 nominees. Since MTV Brazil is probably the only one which nominates over 10 music videos to the Viewer's Choice award, MTV USA probably decided not to list all the nominees. Either way, you can see the nominees list in the following weblink: http://www1.uol.com.br/musica/rapidas/ult89u1408.shl —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.107.4.202 (talk) 18:08, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --05:10, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

mtv europe

[edit]

Actually it looks like it was Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded that title. See here nableezy - 16:41, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, only reason I even saw this is somebody put the category in AI's page and it seemed odd that MTV would award AI. But this makes sense. Thanks again and happy editing. nableezy - 16:51, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the MTV2 Award

[edit]

Hi, just to say that the Interpol EP is the official release of "PDA", so shouldn't the article be linked there? Just wondering. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:51, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I totally understand. I recently redirected "PDA" to the above, but haven't yet got round to making a significant merge. I'll do that, then you can tell me what you think. Thanks! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 16:42, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:46, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LEAVE IT!!!

[edit]

I have re-arranged the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards's nominees ALPHABETICALLY (Kesha before Katy Perry before Lady Gaga). Are you OK now???

Don't try to revert too much, it just shows you're a lazy person who both just don't wanna edit and just wanna find faults with others.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to 53rd Grammy Awards. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Yves (talk) 22:15, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gawsh, that vandalism is getting nasty. I've put a request in at WP:RFPP so it should be protected soon. Would you like me to table the list of nominees, like 2010 New Zealand Music Awards? —Andrewstalk 05:46, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 54th Grammy Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Brown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

MTV Most Awarded Artists

[edit]

Beyoncé's name is included on the awards that were awarded to Destiny's Child, therefore they just as much qualify as any award won as a solo or featured artist. It was clearly noted the two awards were won with Destiny's Child, which does not take away the fact the awards were won due to the fact those two awards were not listed on the MTV source.

MTV Video Music Award

[edit]

MTV is not listing Pink, Katy Perry and other winners with only 5 wins yet for some reason, but they have won as a lead act. That's how it is. MTV says Beyoncé has won 15 times, it's simple. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:59, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alphabetization on 2020 vmas article+song of summer page

[edit]

Just wanted to say that I didn't know they were listed in any particular order hence my rearranging it. I checked the project page but couldn't find a link to a MOS so I didn't know a particular format was being followed. Sorry about the inadvertent flub. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:49, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for this part of the lead? "A 2007 revamp of the show saw the award renamed to Best Group, as it would now reward an artist's body of work for the full year instead of a specific video."

I checked the article history and you were the one who initially added the info to the page. My googling so far has only turned up this article that mentions something similar but only for M/F AOTY, not the group award. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:22, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2021 VMAs Group of the Year cat

[edit]

Nominations for GOTY were released today. Is it safe to assume this is the Best Group category, just named differently this year? Idk whether to add the noms to the page or not. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 20:34, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Carlobunnie: I would say so, since MTV's press releases gave that name at first (and the voting page on mtv.com said "Best Group" until today): "Nominations for social categories including 'Best Group' and 'Song of Summer' will be announced at a later date." (Source: https://www.mtvpress.com/press-releases/2021/08/11/mtv-reveals-nominations-for-2021-video-music-awards-vmas ). They probably just renamed it "Group of the Year" so that it matches the Artist, Video, and Song of the Year awards. I guess if need be, a note about the category being renamed could be added. --Andresg770 (talk) 21:03, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Andresg770: thanks. I think I only looked at the voting page the day initial nominations were announced, so I honestly didn't recall Best Group being listed from the get go to notice the change. All Too Well: The Short Film VMA nominations

[edit]

Hi. I have restored my edits, which you reverted across multiple pages. Please do not edit war. I know we link the songs for nominations as per the MTV source. But that is because the videos do not have their own article in 99% of the cases. That's not the case with All Too Well: The Short Film, which is the official video of "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)". Wikipedia should keeps things best understood for the readers as per WP:COMMONSENSE. The MTV source is literally referring to the short film, hence we directly hyperlink the short film; read WP:PIPE. Unnecessary pipings that have the potential to confuse readers are discouraged. Regards. ℛonherry 08:44, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
