Wikiproject

[edit]

Hi, I see you're a member of WP:Folklore, would you be interested in joining a wikiproject on oral tradition (which folklore is a subset of)? Kowal2701 (talk) 18:45, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Amenotokotachi moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Amenotokotachi. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 23:40, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a lot more to say on the species. I just want to get the disturbution section done first before anything else.CycoMa2 (talk) 20:30, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noah's Ark

[edit]

Ok, hope you'll help fix it also. Doug Weller talk 15:33, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Doug Weller Sorry, I just keep noticing cases where the page numbers are not being cited.
I also don’t really have the time to read through everything to make sure the claim aligns with the source. I have my own drafts to work on, I want to get them done before the school year starts.
I probably should have worded by edit summary different, it probably did come off as rude.CycoMa2 (talk) 15:41, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CycoMa2 Ok, I'll live long enough to fix them I'm sure, not a joke. Doug Weller talk 16:01, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will figure something out. I know many of the sources in the article can be found at Ellis Library, I might spend a day there and read through the sources. I used to spend an entire day in that library finding sources for the wiki when I was a freshman and a sophomore. I also have access to many online sources since like 2022.CycoMa2 (talk) 16:55, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just a little update to this comment. School started. I believe I can handle this issue before the end of the week. But, I can't make promises I have a lot to do.CycoMa2 (talk) 17:51, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I was a bit too busy to handle this issue. I believe I have time tho, I graduate in 2025.CycoMa2 (talk) 20:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Notcharizard which references specifically do you have issues with?CycoMa2 (talk) 01:00, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t have a problem with any specific references, I did not go through them all :) My comment was about the items that are under “bibliography” (rather than “references”), and how it is unclear how those items have contributed to the article. It is okay to have general references, but in-text citations are preferred as the bibliography doesn’t really add anything useful to the article. -- NotCharizard 🗨 02:44, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
After having another look, I can see that the items in the bibliography are the same items as in the in text references, but they are only formatted in the bibliography.
I suggest using Template:Cite book or the citation tool in the visual editor to format the book citations the same way as you have done with the websites, then they’re not doubled up :) -- NotCharizard 🗨 02:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see the issue now.CycoMa2 (talk) 14:56, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can’t fix it now. I’m busy with school.
Can any of my watchlisters fix it? I don’t have the time lately.CycoMa2 (talk) 19:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Common language for College Scorecard data

[edit]

If you're going to add information from College Scorecard to articles, it's probably a good idea to develop common language that can be used across all articles. That would save us all a lot of time if information from the same source is going to be included in multiple articles. I'd be happy to collaborate on this.
