License tagging for Image:CBB.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CBB.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:05, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Celebrity Big Brother 5 Housemates has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this information might be inappropriate for Wikipedia because it is about something which has not happened yet. Please review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so, citing sources.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Talk:Big Brother 2007 (UK), you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. John Hayestalk 00:04, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if I am the one who screwed or it was you, but I think I fixed the problem that your nomination of List of glamour models‎ was appearing in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/300-page iPhone bill (second nomination). You voted "Delete/merge" but I couldn't figure out which article it was meant for. Was it for "List of .." or "300-page .."? Please fix my edit if I misjudged your intension. If I made a mistake, that was noting editorial but technical problem. -- Taku (talk) 12:42, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm A celebrity get me out of here!

[edit]

Hi. I am the person who asked about whether we need the Bushtucker trials mentioned for Series 7 on the Talk page for I'm a celebrity. I said due to the fact that none of the other series have lists of who performed the Bushtucker trials for their respective series mentioned and I don't think anyone can research it. It is kind of unnecessary, as administrators have told me that if you make charts for one series you need to make ones for previous series to protect the balance of the article. Also seeing that there was a paragraph about the Bushtucker trials underneath Series 7. If someone was able to provide Bushtucker trial stats for all the series, They would most likely have to make separate articles for each series just like Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing on Ice (but those shows have their diehard fans.)

Now I see that they have made a separate page for Series 7 which is a step in the right direction, but is it unnecessary due to Series 1-6 not getting pages. and what will happen next year when and if Series 8 happens. Do we integrate Series 7 into the main page? This is all confusing. I tried to contact an administrator for advice, but I have not heard back. Do you have any solutions? Thanks 69.90.207.148 (talk) 21:49, 25 November 2007 (UTC) samusek2[reply]

Hmm, this is a tricky one. Although I don't necessarily think that a page for Series 7 is a bad thing it does make the other ones look bad. However, If we do integrate it with the main page, then we would have to either find Bushtucker trials for all the others series. So its kinda a lose lose situation no matter what way we go it will take a lot of work (not that I mind doing it). I reckon we'll be able to find the required info up til about series 3 as thats when it really took off. Let me know if you hear word from an adminstrator. Also I have a feeling the reason you haven't heard is because you don't have a userpage:S--Hiltonhampton (talk) 22:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:HeatworldLogo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:HeatworldLogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Hi. I am interested in American/British Arts. I'm an artist and am very unfamiliar with the technical jargon on wikipedia. I have written an article on a famous photographer and film director of the nineties and eighties but I don't know how to format the article let alone how to post it. It took me over an hour to be able to send this message. I am a fast learner. I just need help posting this article and others that I am busy working on. All are media related.--Rubyen 14:25, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Rough Justice.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Typo redirect Jasjdgs

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jasjdgs, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jasjdgs is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jasjdgs, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hey there Hiltonhampton! This is a friendly reminder to update your status at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters whenever it is appropriate in order to provide new users with the most up-to-date information on available adopters. Also please note that we will be removing adopters who have not edited in 60 days. If you become active again (and we hope you do!) please feel free to re-add yourself. Cheers!

I think there's enough now to fork Imogen Thomas off to her own article. Aside from the Miss Wales and BB2006 stuff, she's probably done enough in her modelling career (Playboy, Page 3 and Zoo Weekly, for example) to establish notability. The AfD that resulted in the redirect was over 2 1/2 years ago and since then there have been more than enough published stories about her to warrant inclusion. Any objections to forking this off? caknuck ° resolves to be more caknuck-y 19:35, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Wannabe (TV series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail notability guidelines

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
