Hi did you take this pic?Genisock2 (talk) 18:28, 24 March 2008 (UTC) Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. Yes, I did take the photo - why are you interested? Holly har (talk) 16:52, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Holly. Please could you not change the current photo as is has been uploaded officially on behalf of Taio Cruz. Thank you. Musikshun

Musikshun, I don't see what's wrong with my photo. It's a genuine photo of Taio performing, taken by a fan. I think you should support it Holly har (talk) 23:09, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Holly, I think you may have mis-understood me. There is nothing "wrong" with your photo. I work for Taio Cruz and he would prefer to have a photograph of him that is more flattering than a performance picture. The picture you took at his live Bush Hall Performance is an awesome live shot but it is not a flattering facial expression which is why he would prefer to have his photoshoot picture remain. Thank you. P.S. please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any more information. You can contact me here on Wikipedia or on Taio's official Myspace (myspace.com/taiocruzmusic) or email me at sendcruzmusic@gmail.com. My name Is Natalie. Thanks again. Musikshun 8 May 2008

Hi Natalie, I read about what you do and you say: "I control his YouTube and Myspace Pages, making sure they are free from racist, sexist, abusive, malicious and unsavory comments. I also review and edit his Wikipedia page, making sure that any information contained its true and correct." There's nothing about my photo which falls within any of the problem categories that you list. As you are aware, my photo was up first. You unilaterally decided to take it down and replace it with your glossy PR shot. Wikipedia is a user-generated site (you have full control of your myspace page and can put your pic there for everyone to see) and I am not breaking any rules by putting up my own photo which I think other people will enjoy. best wishes, Holly har (talk) 20:56, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly is your reasoning (barring a clear need for self promotion) to use your image on This page? There Is currently a main image which best depicts Taio's likeness without his face being contorted during performance, the same applies for his 2008 image, and thirdly a recent performance photo depicting him in his signature black leather and sunglasses. Please explain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.25.222.231 (talk) 13:03, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your enquiry. I will post my reply on your talk page. Holly har (talk) 13:09, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Holly, Could you please clarify the above? I see you are edit warring and I would like to understand why before reporting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClarityFacts (talkcontribs) 13:21, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your enquiry. I will post my reply on your talk page. Holly har (talk) 13:31, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for posting on my talk page. Who are you and what is your relationship to Taio Cruz? Why do you want to remove a photo taken by a genuine fan of Taio at his first gig? Especially as the photo was actually the first one of Taio to be placed on his page in 2008. Holly har (talk) 13:30, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

In response to the above: I have no relation to Taio Cruz, and it is not the case that "I want" to "remove" this photo. I am here to keep things clear and clean. Simple. Firstly this photo is not "removed", It has been updated with an image of Taio Cruz that is more current and therefore in terms of encyclopaedic value, more accurate. Im sure Taio Cruz has millions of fans, unfortunately not all of them can place images on an encyclopaedia page simply because they wish to do so. In turn, Please explain your reasoning?ClarityFacts (talk)

Please don't bully me on my own talk page. I have posted an appropriate response, which indicated the inaccuracy of your reply, on your talk page. Holly har (talk) 13:49, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this behaviour carries on I am going to report to the press how heavy-handed PR companies (who are obviously employed by the talent) try to squash the contributions of genuine fans on Wikipedia. This will make an interesting article for them, I am sure. Holly har (talk) 14:02, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My comments can not be construed as bullying in the slightest, I do not work for a PR agency so please feel free to report whatever you choose. You claim to be a real fan but you are not. You are simply pushing your own agenda, and, jusdging by all the various comments from other users, it seems you have a clear disregard for amicable resolution.ClarityFacts (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:51, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also I don't see how my comments made on the 15th April (that you made reference to on my talk page) give rise to any speculation that I would work for or on behalf of Taio Cruz. You are making no sense, please clarify, without making unnecessary threats. I have been nothing but polite to you in this matterClarityFacts (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:59, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Given that you threatened to report me I find your request rather like the pot calling the kettle black. In addition I never said that you worked for a PR company or made any threat to you. In addition, you are also edit warring (another case of the pot and kettle). You also accuse me of 'pushing' my own 'agenda' and deny that I am a real fan. Given that I queued up to be at the front of Taio Cruz's first gig at Bush Hall - and there is the evidence for this in that I took the photo there - I find this denial of the actual facts, which are obvious from the photo (which was the first photo of Taio Cruz ever put up on his Wikipedia page) rather amazing. Holly har (talk) 20:22, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Allow me to address each of your statements individually. 1, Reporting you is not a threat, is a guarantee if we can not resolve this situation. Your threat to involve parties external to wikipedia in some kind of slanderous tabloid effort is a clear threat, there is a distinct difference. Secondly, Please read the link I posted regarding edit warring, and you will know that I am in fact NOT edit warring, however you clearly ARE with user 78.25.222.231. If you are not pushing your own agenda, then please explain why this older image of the subject, whose face is contorted during performance is a better reference photo than the current image that depicts him straight on without expression? The purpose of wikipedia is to be an encyclopaedic source of information. Allow me to give you an example. If a child were writing a paper on Taio Cruz and wished to know what he looked like, Do you honestly feel that your image shows his face clearer and truer than the current image? I do not believe you can honestly say yes. We all like our pictures to be showcased in some form but there are many places you can display this image, Getty, Flickr, etc. 3. Seeing as you queued up to go to his first concert, I believe you are a fan, but that does not change the facts. And lastly 4, Wikipedia does not have a "first post stands forever" policy, the subject in question is ageing and evolving and in turn requires updated images that are true to the subjects likeness. The best compromise I can see, Is If you were to write a post that is historically relevant that also warrants the use of your image and post it there. ClarityFacts (talk) 05:28, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have also posted an amicable solution on the Taio Cruz talk page. Thank you ClarityFacts (talk) 06:12, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your comments and the lecture. To be honest I think the patronising attitude and arrogance of your post on my talk page is obvious (reposted above) so I won't make a more detailed critique. However I would point out that the photo you prefer is a carefully constructed studio shot and does not actually look at all like Taio does in real life, as I know from being in the front row at his gig. I would also like to know how you are such an expert on Wikipedia, including on reporting people, when you have made so few contributions yourself. Holly har (talk) 11:12, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

in reference to the above: I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't think Ive been patronising at all. far from it, but you are entitled to your opinion. This photo is not one that i "Prefer". Unlike you, I have no direct vested interest in any of the photos currently on his page other than what makes sense. I see you have added new text to the page in an effort to creating a relevant post. I believe this will result in what you seek to achieve. that said please take a look at the Wiki page for the artist Kesha (she is of similar musical genre and relevance to Taio Cruz) You will see entries relating to live performances, formatted well and with corresponding live imagery. I believe this will sit appropriately on the page and will avoid users removing your image. Lastly, I am not an expert on Wikipedia, I simply just read the rules and abide by them. ClarityFacts (talk) 12:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I find it very hard to believe that you don't have a 'vested interest' given that you are behaving exactly as a PR would. You have definitely not abided by the rules as you have made personal attacks on me. I think that this should be investigated. Holly har (talk) 12:11, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Define "behaving exactly as a PR would"! What exactly are PR traits? Please feel free to cut and paste any of my messages that could be deemed as an "attack" to validate the above claim! ClarityFacts (talk) 12:26, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be in the habit of trying to get me to do a lot of work! Actually I don't need to cut and paste anything as the relevant comments of yours are above for all to see. It is also notable how much more polite you are on your own talk page and on the talk page for the Taio Cruz page than you are on my talk page. Holly har (talk) 12:31, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I Repeat...

[edit]

Holly, I'm not saying you're breaking any rules, nor am i forcing you to take down your picture, im simply saying that the human being in question (Taio) who has feelings like you and i simply wishes to have a picture of himself up that he feels makes him look good. Just like im sure on your own Myspace/Facebook page you may sometimes see a "tagged" photo of yourself taken by a friend that they LOVE but you don't necessarily feel is your best picture. This is essentially what is happening here, and it's unfortunate that Wikipedia only allow one picture to be up at a time because this could be solved amicably by having both pictures up.

Im coming to you humbly requesting that you allow him to have up the picture he is most comfortable with, and kindly ask that you are not offended by his non-use of your photograph. Thank you.

Natalie.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at The Ting Tings, you will be blocked from editing. Please stop trying to push your image into this article. It is not relevant to the "early years" section. If you continue to re-add it without discussion, you will be blocked for vandalism. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 12:40, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This inaccurate message, with its allegation and threat, is now being discussed on the Ting Tings discussion page and in the disputes resolution section. Holly har (talk) 13:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've struck out the now irrelevant parts of this warning. While I was incorrect in saying that your edits were vandalism, it is true that we (yourself, me, and the other editors involved) were edit warring. Now that the image is in a more appropriate place, I personally am quite happy to leave it there. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 08:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading free images to Wikimedia Commons

[edit]

Thank you for uploading free images/media to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view previous uploads by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'file' namespace from the drop down box (or see [1]). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading! Quibik (talk) 15:45, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Your recent editing history at Taio Cruz shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Favonian (talk) 20:21, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit-warring. Any admin can unblock when editor agrees to stop.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

I believe that my post is valid and that I have been unfairly victimised. After all my photograph was actually the first on the page and I am a genuine fan. However, in view of the block I have no alternative but to agree to consult about further changes on the Taio Cruz talk page and try to reach an amicable solution

Decline reason:

User appears unaware that their many reverts to the Taio Cruz article were what lead to the block, and as such the user is not suitable for unblocking at this time. --(ʞɿɐʇ) ɐuɐʞsǝp 20:47, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Holly har (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am quite aware that my reverts lead to the block. This is why I am saying that in future I will use the talk page (vide supra). Holly har (talk) 20:50, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Very well. Note that if you do edit war again after this unblock, I highly doubt anyone will pay any attention to an unblock request. --(ʞɿɐʇ) ɐuɐʞsǝp 21:04, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
