Pathways schools

[edit]

It is likely that an IB school like Pathways has sufficient coverage in print and online press to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If it were nominated at WP:AFD I would probably take the time to find enough references to back that up and say "Keep." However, as a PROD, it's not worth my time right at the moment.

That said, a major trimming or total rewrite would probably be an improvement. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:29, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, UnitedStatesian! The page has been deleted now. I wanted to edit and finish the article and push it for publishing. Unfortunately, I have been very busy with my school work to work on the article. I have nominated the article for undeletion and will work on it if I succeed.
Thank you for your help!

Notability of infant/ junior schools

[edit]

In general there is a presumption that schools for children under the age of 11 are very rarely notable. This is based on the experience that such schools only rarely have sufficient reliable and independent sources to demonstrate notability. Before putting in any substantial effort, it would be well worth the effort of checking out sources. I can't see any at present that would support notability. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   09:29, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your concern. The school I am working on is not only for children under the age of 11. It is a K-12 school. I have submitted the article I made for review. Thank you for your help!
Kash Up (talk) 11:23, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For what it is worth, the acronym "K12" has only limited meaning for readers outside of the US, New Zealand and Australia. Better to spell things out rather than risk misunderstanding  Velella  Velella Talk   16:03, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Though the school does offer "K12" education the use of the term is limited outside the angloshpere. On your suggestion I have replaced the term with "kindergarten to class XII". Thanks for the suggestion!

A tag has been placed on Abu Dhabi Indian School-Branch 1, Al Wathba, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
