Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Rameshmedias. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Hello -- I do not understand the nature of this block. Can you please further guide on the steps to take to revised the page to be unblocked and remove the advert template message on the page? I have added detailed sources, citations, and fact-based data to support the content on my page. Thanks Rameshmedias (talk) 14:21, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Rameshmedias! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Ramesh Srinivasan that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 23:31, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

factual detail and citations have been added and great care has been taken to present this information in an informative, unbiased manner for the purposes of education and awareness Rameshmedias (talk) 15:42, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

"Education and awareness" and "informative" is the exact definition of promotion. You also haven't discussed the likely conflict of interest that you seem to have. 331dot (talk) 08:10, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
