Madrassah

[edit]

Assalamalaikum Dr. Ali. Thanks for your contributions on the Madrassah article. I formatted the references you inserted in the article. I took time to watch your Children of Faith video and feel that it was well done. I learnt some facts that I had not known before. It is nice to see that people such as yourself are working to eliminate the prejudice against Islam. Thank you once again sir. I really appreciate it. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Tiffany & Co.. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. -- SiobhanHansa 02:11, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop trying to push your edit especially with a misleading edit comment. If you do so again you will be reported. --Floridianed (talk) 02:40, 29 June 2008 (UTC) I was wrong --Floridianed (talk) 03:41, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Your message on my talk page I know I was very quick with that rv. and template placing. Let me check it again and I'll get back to you. Ok? --Floridianed (talk) 03:14, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize sincerely. I surely should have paid more attention to your 2nd edit try. I certainly will strike out that template and remark with my signature. Still, I have a problem with your edit (and my guess would be that it wouldn't stand long anyway). In my opinion it belongs (if at all) in the presidential campaign article. Also it has editorial language and needs to be rewritten to pass NPOV. My suggestion is to bring it to the talk page and discuss it there. Again, sorry and regards --Floridianed (talk) 03:41, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Ruth DeFries

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ruth DeFries requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TheMolecularMan (talk) 17:57, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:IEDSUVM.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:IEDSUVM.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:05, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
