1RR on Gaza War

Hi Tim, per your log entry on WP:ARBPIA it looks like the 1RR restriction was only supposed to be for two weeks however Template:Editnotices/Page/Gaza War is still active. Just wanted to check what the status of 1RR on that article is currently. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 13:25, 17 June 2014 (UTC)

There's an entry in the log a couple lines after that line that says the 1RR's been extended to indefinite. In any event, there's a topic area 1RR for all ARBPIA articles. T. Canens (talk) 13:49, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
Oh, of course. Der. Thanks, Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 14:04, 17 June 2014 (UTC)

Can you lower protection to PC-2 with semi-protection, even when it's not yet implemented by the consensus? I'm sure that autoconfirmed editors can be trusted. --George Ho (talk) 09:37, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

No. T. Canens (talk) 14:55, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Why not 1RR instead? --George Ho (talk) 19:47, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
There was an 1RR. It did not work. T. Canens (talk) 00:39, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
Especially when semi-protected? --George Ho (talk) 05:50, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
The people revert warring were mostly well past autoconfirmed. T. Canens (talk) 06:29, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi Tim, I've created a new sockblock template which follows the same format as the stanardised uw- templates. There are a few parameters which would be different from {{SockBlock}} and I wanted to check whether it was possible to modify the script to allow for my version before taking it any further (that is, getting consensus for the change). Regards, Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 05:08, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

There shouldn't be much technical difficulties switching - other than my being rusty on Javascript, that is :) T. Canens (talk) 05:32, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
Having a look at the particular bit in the script, there are a couple easy changes. The suspected/confirmed parameter and function change will be the hardest. Having even less of an idea on Javascript I've only got a guess how it works now. Regards, Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 05:36, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Kissle access request

Hi,

I've left a request here. Thanks. →Enock4seth (talk) 22:15, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

That code hasn't been maintained in three years. I strongly recommend against using it. T. Canens (talk) 17:41, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
