About book entries

[edit]

Hi. I see that you have recently created articles like Extreme Danger about a not-so-eminent book series. That's ok if you think that there is more to say about it than just a few lines about the plot summary. Otherwise, you should just update the main article Undercover Brothers or American Teens Against Crime. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 23:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comic Con Artist (The Hardy Boys Undercover Brothers)

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Comic Con Artist (The Hardy Boys Undercover Brothers), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Fabrictramp 13:43, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Hardy boysUBdeprivation house.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:12, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:HardyBoysUB20.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:HardyBoysUB20.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:42, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image above was missing what's considered a "valid backlink" to the article in question. If you take a look at the image page now you'll see that all that was missing was the article's link in the fair use rationale. It's been added & the deletion tag removed. Hardy Boys and sourcing

[edit]

I see that you are fond of the Hardy Boys, and are improving the articles. However, the sources you are using are not enough to prevent the articles from being deleted eventually. What is required are sources like this one or this one on Phil Cohen (I hope the links work for you). AnteaterZot (talk) 00:50, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:HardyBoysUB12.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HardyBoysUB12.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves & BetacommandBot

[edit]

Well, I just fixed a half-dozen of these myself - these are from bad editors who do page moves and don't update the file references. The bot looks at the "fair use" area, looks for a valid backlink, then matches the backlink to the actual articles where the image is being used ("File links" on the bottom of the page). All you have to do is copy the correct article name; edit the page, remove the bot's warning template, and update the old article name with the new one (which is what the page mover was supposed to do). That fixes the issue. SkierRMH (talk) 00:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, SkierRMH, and as it turns out it was my fault, the page was never moved, I was just careless and rather then naming the article I named the book,

Speedy deletion of User:WHLfan/Images uploaded

[edit]

A tag has been placed on User:WHLfan/Images uploaded requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it contains a gallery in the userspace which consist chiefly of fair use or non-free images.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:User:WHLfan/Images uploaded|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mønobi 04:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Imcooler

[edit]

{{helpme}} Could you please delete the article, Murder in Paradise (The Hardy Boys). None of the facts are true on the page...and even if they are, there are no sources at all to back it up. Actually all of User:Imcooler's edits are false, and as you can see the loser's gone to quite a bit effort.

Hardy Boys media franchise infobox

[edit]

Hi, WHLfan. I saw you added a new infobox to this page, but it seems only to repeat the info in the two templates at the bottom of the page - and in fact to be less complete. Can you tell me why you think that this info needs to be repeated in a less complete fashion at the top of the page? Best, Ricardiana (talk) 21:28, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Hardy Boys

Hi, WHLfan. There's a big dispute going on over at The Hardy Boys re: the cultural impact section, specifically, whether the sources that talk about gay readers should be included. I thought you might be interested. I would really appreciate your input. Ricardiana (talk) 18:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
