Suspected sockpuppets

Tina Dabi created by the main account (actually converted from a redirect) is at AfD, the other two accounts (among a few others) suddenly showed up in support -- Rehanpocha at AfD, Amit Rathee on the article. What seems weird to me is that the history of the article shows accounts as old as 2009 coming in to the article as their first edit ever and I'm a bit confounded. With the huge proliferation of Civil Service Examination candidate articles over the past few months it's very very likely that this is linked to something offline and will likely have to head to WP:COIN soon, a start could be this and any sleeper checks. —SpacemanSpiff 18:15, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks Bbb23, this took a different direction from what I had expected. From the looks of it Arupesh Sarkar seems to not be a link behaviorally. As for Semanti Paul, I came across this discussion where a few CUs had participated. Behaviorally, SP's edits are in a completely different area from the other group this year but if you look at Conradjagan's edits from prior to December 2015 then you'll notice the similarities in choices. This type of edit from Conradjagan is what got Semanti Paul in trouble. That said, for a long time I've seen the two names popup on my watchlist and I've always confused one for the other because of the similar edit summaries and edits. I think there is a definitely a link, if not socking then they are working off the same script. Maybe Vanjagenije who did the earlier behavioral analysis can take a look, or Drmies who commented in the earlier discussion can take a look to compare any language tells. —SpacemanSpiff 13:47, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
