    • 1976, Ludwig W. Adamec, Historical Gazetteer of Iran, page 273:
      Larak is oval-shaped and measures six miles from the east-northeast to west-southwest by about four miles across; the chief irregularity of outline is a small sandy cape which juts out from the north coast.
